How we work — from idea to finished film
Producing professional film requires a structured process — from the initial briefing to final delivery in the right format. Multiproduktion works in five clear steps that ensure every project is delivered on time, within budget and with the right quality. We have refined our process through 200+ productions since 2011 and know exactly what steps are required to go from idea to finished film. A typical production takes 4–8 weeks, depending on the scope of the project. Each step has clear approval points so you always have visibility and control. Below we describe exactly how we work — step by step — so you know what to expect when you hire us.
Our 5-step process
Each step builds on the previous one — and you approve before we move forward.
Briefing and needs analysis
We meet — in person or digitally — to understand your goals, target audience, message and budget. Together we define the project scope, timeline and deliverables. A good brief is the foundation of a successful production. No brief? We help you formulate one.
Concept and script
Our creative team develops one or more concepts based on your brief — with script, storyboard and visual references. We present the proposals, you give feedback, and we iterate until everyone is satisfied. Nothing is produced before the concept is approved.
Pre-production and planning
We plan the shoot in detail: locations are scouted, shooting schedule is written, equipment is booked, participants are briefed, wardrobe and props are prepared. Everything is documented in a production plan that you approve before filming begins.
Filming and production
The shoot is led by our director with support from camera crew, lighting technician and sound engineer. We use professional equipment and handle all practical details. You are welcome to attend — but do not need to. We take care of everything. Need a studio? We have our own in central Stockholm.
Post-production and delivery
Editing, colour grading, sound mix, graphics and any animation. You get a rough cut to comment on before we finalise the end product. The film is delivered in all agreed formats — TV, web, social media — ready to publish.
What does it cost? Price ranges per film type
The price varies depending on film type, length and complexity. Here are guidelines based on our completed projects:
Commercial film
From quick social media clips to production-intensive TV campaigns with actors and advanced post-production.
Corporate video
Employer branding, event films, CEO greetings and onboarding videos — adapted to scope and number of filming days.
Animation
2D and 3D animation for explainer films, product demos and motion graphics. Price depends on length and complexity.
Livestream
Per event — webinars, conferences and live broadcasts from our studio. Includes technology, direction and platform integration.
Which film type suits your needs?
Every project is unique, but most needs fall within one of our main services. Need to reach new customers? Then commercial film is the right choice. Want to strengthen your employer brand or streamline internal communications? Corporate video solves that. Need to explain a complex product or process? Information film or animation does it pedagogically and engagingly. Not sure? We help you find the right format — book a free consultation.
Frequently asked questions about film production
How long does it take to produce a film?
A typical production takes 4–8 weeks from briefing to delivery. Simpler productions such as CEO greetings or short social media clips can be delivered in 1–2 weeks. Larger campaigns with multiple filming days and advanced post-production can take 8–12 weeks.
What do we need to prepare before a film production?
A clear brief with goals, target audience, message and budget gives us the best conditions. We guide you through the briefing and help formulate a brief if you do not have one. You also need to identify internal contact persons and any participants.
How much does a film production cost?
The price varies depending on the film type and complexity. A simpler corporate film starts from around SEK 25,000, commercial film from around SEK 40,000, and animation from around SEK 30,000. Larger productions with multi-day filming and advanced post-production cost SEK 100,000–500,000.
Can we have input during the production?
Absolutely. We work with clear approval points at each phase — you approve concept, script and storyboard before filming begins, and you get to view and comment on the rough cut before final delivery. You have full visibility and control throughout the entire process.
Which formats and platforms do you deliver for?
We deliver in all relevant formats — 16:9 for TV and YouTube, 9:16 for TikTok and Instagram Reels, 1:1 for LinkedIn and Facebook. We adapt codec, bitrate and file size to each platform's technical requirements. You get all versions included in the price.
